Field Grey Illustration Day with Julian Seaman

On Tuesday this week, the team got together for a pre-Christmas illustration day. The day, hosted by Central Saint Martins lecturer and fashion illustration aficionado Julian Seaman, aimed to boost creativity and allow the team to explore different visual styles.

The purpose of the session was to address the on-going demand for compelling visual communications as a medium to engage with clients. Our time with Julian focussed on creativity, authorship and interpretation of different media to develop and present different visual ideas.

The session also encouraged the team developing a personal creative approach, providing a careful balance between creative freedom and professional practice – two elements essential in solving Field Grey briefs. Day to day, we’re all guilty of becoming occasionally complacent with our creative skills, so a day spent channelling our inner artists and concentrating on the figure, and how we represent it, makes tackling the projects we create together easier and the outcome even more innovative.
