Last week, InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel began a new chapter. At the heart of the city of Bordeaux, amongst the les quartier des Grands Hommes, this majestic hotel is rich with history: incidentally, Victor Hugo delivered his visionary statement ‘If we do not want any more wars in Europe, we must create Europe’ while staying at InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel. Timely indeed.
The building, by architect Victor Louis, is a symbol of Bordeaux, and Le Bordeaux Gordon Ramsay brings hints of British cuisine to a modern French menu. Guests can enjoy the decadent surroundings amongst the Belle Epoque interiors, and the menu includes a mouthwatering new take on both the classic Beef Wellington and British staple fish and chips.
Field Grey was delighted to supply uniforms for waiting staff. Staff wear a classic, crisp white bib shirt with burgundy embroidery, a nod to the hotel’s heritage and branding.
