London Fashion Week AW16: Roberta Einer, Helen Lawrence and Clio Peppiatt

26.02.2016

When we weren’t snapping street style outside the cavernous Brewer Street Car Park London Fashion Week venue, Field Grey attended presentations hosted by Katie Rose, director of The Bridge Co.

The first show was Clio Peppiatt. We loved the motel theme of the collection. The presentation was fun and playful. We especially loved the ‘guest services’ bell boy look and those bunny shoes are definitely on our wish list.

Roberta Einer’s dream world is full of oversized silhouettes and embroidered knee high boots, embellished with sequins and rhinestones. Einer mixes tough leather with feminine floral imagery. There were female cowboy rockstars, soundtracked with music from blockbuster The Revenent, which made for the perfect atmosphere.

Helen Lawrence provided us with physical and digital displays of unique knitwear situated in isolated seasides and woodland locations. Garments included body hugging knitwear in peachy and dark chocolate tones, revealing glimpses of the human form. Loose velvet and flares gave a definite nod to the 1970s.
