Tigerlily

Edinburgh boutique hotel, Tigerlily, commissioned Field Grey to develop a uniform solution for its staff. The hotel is a sumptuous mix of contemporary furniture, wallpapers and textiles and needed a uniform to complement its eclectically elegant interior.Approach / Field Grey commissioned Glasgow-based surface print designers Pringle and Murray to create a bespoke Tigerlily silk scarf, which they did – using the hotel’s typeface and brand colours as the basis for the design.

The female reception staff were dressed in a high-waisted grey pencil skirt and fresh white cap-sleeved blouse with feminine dart details around the neckline. This sleek silhouette was complemented by the bespoke Pringle and Murray scarves.

Knitted ties were selected to introduce a variety of textures to the uniform and local Scottish companies were commissioned to create waistcoats and accessories. The uniform was sponsored by Grey Goose vodka and so subtle branding was introduced through a delicate silver Grey Goose tiepin.
